What should I expect on my first day? What will happen?

You can expect to fill out some registration paperwork prior to your evaluation where your licensed therapist will listen to your story and evaluate your movement and activity tolerance. A plan will be established and initiated to improve your symptoms, and you will likely be provided a home exercise program.

What should I bring with me?

Please bring your ID and insurance cards and your registration paperwork if you have already printed this and filled it out at home.

How should I dress?

​Please dress ready to move. Comfortable clothing and tennis shoes work best! If your lower body is being treated, it may be helpful to also bring shorts with you.

 Will I hurt after physical therapy?

The goal is to help you feel better, but you may experience some soreness from doing new things. However, this is normal and not a sign of anything concerning.

 How long will each treatment last?

At Ascent Physical Therapy, we believe each patient should receive thorough and individualized care. Each treatment will last approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on each individual patient’s needs. 

 How many visits will I need?

The physical therapist and patient will work together to determine what is medically necessary regarding treatment. Together, the patient and therapist will establish an agreed-upon plan that will best benefit the patient.
